Nigeria may be witnessing the emergence of an unexpected political force—not from the chambers of the National Assembly, the headquarters of a political party or the traditional establishment, but from the global stage of African music. David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has spent much of his public life entertaining millions and elevating Nigerian music around the world.
